Mr. Gbenga Owodunni joined Standard Trust Assurance Company as Assistant Marketing Manager in year 2000 before joining Capital Express in 2004 as Marketing Manager.
He holds a B.Sc. degree in Microbiology from the Ogun State University and an MBA (Marketing) from the Lagos State University. He is also a Chartered Insurer as awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
Gbenga Owodunni began his career as a Sales Executive with Client Support Service Limited in 1997. In 2000, he moved to Standard Trust Assurance Company as Assistant Marketing Manager, a position he held until 2004.
He joined the erstwhile Capital Express General in 2004 as Marketing Manager, a position which he held until 2006 when the company decided to focus on its life insurance portfolio. He held the position of Head of Marketing Department from 2007 till 2013 when he became the Head of Operations.
Mr Owodunni later rose to the rank of Assistant and Deputy General Manager respectively until January 2024 when He was appointed Executive Director, Technical.
He has attended various courses on Sales, Service marketing, Operations Management as well as Relationship management.
